‘I stole the ace up his sleeve and it felt GLORIOUS': Storage unit employee catches guy trying to sneakily dupe ex-wife, employee sets ex-wife up for ‘major success' instead

Through the bonds of womanhood, an ex-wife was able to finally dish out the karma her cheating ex-husband husband desperately deserved. It all started with a battle between stuff, as many things do. The ex-husband locked up half of her belongings in their share storage unit and he had them change the key so she couldn't get in. He then proceeded to try and pull a shady move, by asking to remove her from the account. He tried to make them think that this was all consensual and everything was fine. The female employee he was trying to trick was not having any of this. 

 

So, she said she understood, and made him think she removed his ex-wife. However, instead, she called up the ex-wife to double check this request and of course it was wrong. She then proceeded to set up this ex-wife for major success. She not only was able to go to the unit, get all of her belongings, throw all of his stuff that he had her keeping at her house into the unit, and then change the lock. She drove over, gave him the key, and told him the exchange was made and to never talk to her again.

    So when my ex-husband and I were still married, but just entering the talking phase of divorce and still lived together, he became very secretive about his life at a certain point and wouldn't tell me where he was going or anything he was doing because, "You don't have access to that part of my life anymore.

    The lady sounded like she was being discreet, but I wasn't sure why. She said, "Hey, I just wanted to let you know your storage unit has been cleaned out and she just wanted my confirmation to close it out on her end.

    I was confused and asked, "Is my husband there?" She just says, "Mmmhmm!" I was like, "Umm, where did the stuff go?" She told me it was put into a new unit.

    I felt so honored for someone to care so much about me. When he got home that evening, I asked him how the storage unit was.

    He quickly changed his tune and said, "I was going to tell you. How did you know?" I told him, "You have your people and I have mine." Well about a month later, he called the storage unit to have me removed from the account so I couldn't access MY things.

    It just so happens, he got the same lady, who took his sister's number off the account when he asked to remove me, and put my number in place of hers, and kept me on the account, phone number and all.

    At some point, he was demanding his things from my apartment after being escorted away by police and told he could no longer live with me or come onto the premises or he'd be arrested due to abuse that was involved.

    I told him to give me access to the storage unit since he had the keys so I could get my things and I'd give him his things.

    He refused. So I devised a plan. A delicious plan! I contacted my parents and asked if they'd be willing to help me with getting a uhaul to go get my things.

    I contacted the storage unit just to make sure I was still on the account and they confirmed I was.

    I told them that I think I lost my key and asked if they could cut the lock off for me when I get there.

    They told me they could. Before we left to go get my things, we packed my car with all of his things and hit the road.

    Once we got there, the lock was cut and we went to work. I noticed all that was left in the storage was most of my things, and broken furniture he so generously left for me to clean up on the day he would deem me worthy to finally have access to my things, and other trash like an empty coffee drink he had consumed last time he was there.

    He went ahead and separated all of our assets without me being present. To this day I still am missing things that are priceless and can never replace, things like a tile I had made at a specialty shop when my son was a newborn with his foot prints, name, date of birth and other things.

    We loaded all of my things into the uhaul truck, except all the broken furniture and trash he so generously left for me.

    I thought I'd return the favor and let him keep it all. MUHAHAHAHA!! Before leaving the storage unit with all my things packed in the truck, and his things loaded into the storage unit, I purchased a new lock, with a new set of keys, and I placed it on the unit.

    I then sent him an email with the picture letting him know I went to our storage unit today and got my things out, and put all his things in there from my place and that he can go close the unit out at any time now.

Then he immediately sent me a new message saying, "What storage unit?" I was shocked he outed himself, but replied with, "You know, the only storage unit we have together, up in such and such city.

    I then responded with, "It was illegal for ME to access MY things that YOU stole and moved to a new unit and changed the lock so I couldn't have access??" I got a call later that day from the general manager of the storage unit saying, "Yeah hi, your husband has been calling me all day.

    I've probably spent about 4 hours on the phone with him. He keeps trying to tell me that you were taken off the account, but I told him I saw you on the account before you removed yourself.

    He has been calling corporate when he hasn't been on the phone with me, altogether has been on the phone for 9 hours trying to get proof that we let you access the unit illegally.
